what is the difference between a certificate and a certificate-of-achievement?
and can you actually get a job with any one of them?

- It all depends who is issuing the certificate. Some groups are more esteemed than others. But you should know that anybody can issue a certificate, a certificate of achievement, or even a diploma. It all depends on the group issuing them, if they are accredited by a governing body, etc.
- A certificate can be awarded for a number of reasons. (academic, athletics, attendence....) For a person new to the workforce, lacking a resume, a certificate of achievement might be used to show good character and work ethic. But, for working, professional adults its just for self-pride.
