Recognition Certificates

Can someone explain what the difference is between certificate of achievement and completion?

I am thinking about going back to school and I am a little confused. Is one better than the other as far as getting an entry level job?

  1. Completion merely means you went through the paces and followed the rules but you either didn't meet their goals and standards or you did nothing outstanding to earn mastery completion. Certificate of achievement means you did well and seemingly have mastered something to a certain standard.
  2. There aren't any governing bodies defining either one. Completion implies you've finished a course, it doesn't say at what level of achievement. The other implies you did something, it just doesn't say what. The end product of your education will be whatever the state or certifying authority says it is you need to have earned a license, degree, diploma, or certificate.
  3. A certificate of achievement is like you Graduated. A certificate of completion is you went thru but do not hold a certification of said course. you went thru everything but screwed up some how.
