Recognition Certificates

How much does "recognition in front of your peers" go towards motivating you?

Do you like trophies, ribbons, certificates or patches? Does it change your answer if your mortal enemy is among those to see you get the award?

2. I find this to be VERY motivating ... *I don't want to let anyone down, no matter what. *The "trophies" are cool, but my own personal knowledge that I was able to do a superlative job, and that everyone involved benefited from it is the coolest feeling in the world, for me. (;=]
3. Now you know what motivates the WOW players!!! :) hehe! Seriously, yes, to me it is very motivating to see my rival enemies watch me get the "trophy" or promotion in the real world!! :)
