Recognition Certificates

Anyone have any ideas on making an award book to protect awards and certificates?

My husband has a lot of awards and certificates from both the Army and the Sheriff's department. He is currently deployed to Iraq and I would like to display them somehow, maybe in a binder or something and give it to him when he comes home. He is very proud of his accomplishments and I don't want to "mess" up his awards by making it too girly or anything. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make an award book that will protect his awards and certificates other than just putting them in a page protector and then putting that in a binder?

  1. when I worked at a musium on campus at the u of a they would put written items in plastic sleeves and place in a freezer it would keep them dry yet not so dry that it crumbled plus the writting was like day one even though it was 100 years or so ago, kope this helps you.
  2. Go to a framing store or a good craft store that does this type of work. They will be able to sit down with you and discuss ideas that will look professional and tasteful. These stores have the mounting equipment to make sure the awards will stay in excellent shape and won't deteriorate.
  3. You can also try scrap booking stores.
