can you actually get a job with a "certificate of achievement"?
i am thinking about taking a certificate of achievement in Data base information system from community college, which consist of five classes. do you think companies may hire you with a certificate of achievement?

- Maybe, maybe not. But it sure don't hurt.
- It sounds like an award title, right? Companies will always look at the degree first, and if you got a degree, such a certificate could be a plus.
- Any certification course are good. But most of the employer look for the experience first. If you have experience and if you can show you some good example of work, it doesn't matter if you have certification or not! if you want to do a certification go for a professional certification like MCDBA which is worldwide recognized.
