Recognition of IGNOU courses outside India?

Are IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) courses recognised outside India? Are they eligible to get jobs outside India with IGNOU certificates?

1. Foreign countries refer to the membership of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to find out if the degree gained in India is a valid one. IGNOU is a member of AIU and hence its qualifications will be recognized as equivalent to similar distance education qualification in any foreign country. You must get your credentials compared by an appropriate government agency in the foreign country.
