Proof Reading: May I get help with grammer and sentense tense. to be submitted to employment agency, thanks? As a member of the registration-set up team in the mortgage company, we received about 50+ loan files. All have to be disclosed the same day by 7 pm. The task is to process each file, retrieve data from the computer, complete the compliance checklist, and check flood and insurance policies. On the mid of these tasks, I may encounter compliance issues that need to be addressed, such as missing appraisals or flood insurance. I call account managers for action and notify them of the errors or request missing documents. If the errors haven’t been resolved before 2 pm we place the file on hold to be disclosed the next business day. I initiated employee to employee recognition. I wrote a letter to my supervisor to recognize my co-worker’s performance, cooperation, willingness to train and answer other employee’s questions. While no one asks me to write such letter, I thought it a good idea to bring some encouragement and show us as one team
Does anyone know the website for the Army to recognize service or employers who support employees in the Guard? I saw it once before, a few months ago. You can sign them up and they receive a pin and a letter of recognition. Thanks! Its an official Army website I believe. The program is for free. I think I initially saw it in the Army Times but am not sure...
"Can someone be tried in Wisconsin for something that allegedly happened in Oregon?"? My brother was arrested was timecard fraud in January 2007 being a supervisor of a big company. Saying that he allowed his workers to stay clocked in and get paid for it and what not. Anyway he's never had anything on his record in fact he was a cop. Well a reserve for 8 years. He spend 3 years in solitary confinement in Oregon because he was a cop and then they finally extradited him to Wisconsin where they were dismissing everything due to lack of evidence. Well, he just gets this letter that says the case had not been concluded and they are now saying he defrauded the company more than $30,000 from the company credit card that was issued in his name for employee recognition, company dinners, supplies and things like that. He had permission to use the card and the receipts were signed off from the boss above him. Anyway, the crimes allegedy took place in Oregon; which is where the company is based. The corporate office is in Wisconsin, but my brother was never there. Help! Any info? He spend 3 weeks in solitary confinement, sorry about that.
Retaliation suits? I filed and won a law suit against the State I had been employed with - for denying FMLA - forcing me to quit my job to care for my father. I liked working w/the State and have applied for up to nearly two hundred positions during and since this suit was settled. I did not sign anything whatsoever stating I would never work for the state again -- and I was an explanatory employee who received letters of recognition as well as commendations from two different governors for the work I did on behalf of the state. Two jobs I had applied for were at two agencies I had already worked with -- and got great letters of recommendations for from employees that I worked with in the past who will still on board there - yet never got an interview. Does this sound like retaliation to you? My dad eventually died. I wasn't able to get to him in time to get the treatment he needed. That is why I sued. I hope the loss of my Dad was a justifiable reason to sue.

Will you please proofread/edit my resume and cover letter? This is my first application for a "real" job. I'm fourteen years old, and I want to work at the public library where I live. I should also add that the format on Microsoft Word is a lot more... pleasing to the eye than the one you'll read here. Thanks! Please be honest and point out any mistakes or anything that doesn't sound right? Anything at all. This is my cover letter: Fort McMurray Public Library, 151 MacDonald Drive, T9H 5C5 Fort McMurray Public Library, I am a student attending my freshman year at Composite High School, and I am extremely interested in a position as a student page at the Fort McMurray Public Library. Working at the public library appeals to me for many reasons. I have always been very interested in literature, and where else would be stronger in literature than the library? Also, I am very drawn to the work atmosphere that I have noticed in the library when I go there on my own leisure. Finally, I am incredibly impressed with all of the employees that I've spoken to with; each person has a great attitude, and all are very friendly and helpful. I would be thrilled to join your team. I think I would be an excellent addition to the public library. Although I have no previous job experience, I can assure you that I am a very responsible, dependable, hard working person. I have many good characteristics that would qualify me for this job. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, analytical and research skills, and I am a very self motivated, fast learner. My experience in child care proves that I am very resposible and reliable, which I think are important elements in working at the library. This job would be an amazing opportunity for myself, and I think I would be very beneficial to the library, and the Fort McMurray community. I have enclosed my resume for your review. Will unions force more businesses to move over seas? In a time when unions are outraged with Democrats for their pro-immigration policies, big labor has launched an unprecedented lobbying campaign to force workers into unions. Labor unions are supposed to protect workers’ rights, yet union bosses want Congress to pass a law that actually robs workers of their democratic right to a private ballot. In March, the House kowtowed to the unions and passed the so-called “Employer Free Choice Act.” Today the battle comes to the floor of the Senate. Union bosses will learn that the Senate isn’t going to roll over so easily. I was a card-carrying member of the AFL-CIO Metal Lather union in my youth, and I understand the role that unions can play. But unionization is increasingly facing organizing challenges. Unions have seen a steady decline in membership, from 16.1 percent in 1990 to 12 percent in 2006. Right now they’re less interested in seriously defending workers’ rights than they are about simply holding onto their power. It seems obvious that big labor wants to rebuild its membership rolls — and its bank account — through a forced unionization process called “card check.” What is card check and why is it so bad? The bill now before Congress would overturn a 72-year law that guarantees workers the right to cast private ballots in union organizing elections. Card check has always been an option, if employers voluntarily choose to recognize a union that way. But this bill mandates the recognition of a labor union as the exclusive employee representative if only 50 percent plus one of the workers signs a card expressing interest in a union. It’s automatic. No discussion, no hearing from both sides on the issue, no election. What about the views of the other 49 percent? It’s very likely they would not even know an election is taking place. Union organizers only have to solicit cards in secret until they achieve a majority. That’s not a free and fair election. By voting in union-organizing elections, you are consulted about a decision that will require you to pay potentially thousands of dollars a year in union dues and may require you to support union actions, including strikes. Yet under this so-called “Employee Free Choice Act,” it is possible for nearly half of the workers to have no voice at all. This isn’t about workers’ rights. This is about intimidation. Consider the pressure you would be under to sign a card if your coworkers asked. Workers and their families can be harassed at home, at church, at the shopping mall. A former union organizer testified before the House Education and Labor Committee that many workers “signed the card simply to get the organizer to leave their home and not harass them further.” Pressure often escalates to include threatening phone calls, vandalism, stalking, and even violence. In one 2004 case, a worker in High Point, North Carolina, who dared to oppose the United Auto Workers’ card check campaign, needed 24-hour security posted at his home. The only protection workers have to exercise their freedom in union elections is the private ballot. A choice made under duress is no choice at all — it’s coercion. A private ballot allows workers to make a decision without the union organizers, coworkers, or the employer looking over their shoulder. An employer wouldn’t know if you voted for the union, and the union wouldn’t know if you voted against the union. Ironically, the bill’s supporters agree that secret ballot elections for unionization are a good thing — in Mexico! In August 2001, eleven cosponsors of the House card-check bill sent a letter to the Mexican government urging the adoption of secret-ballot elections as a basic right for Mexican workers for the very reasons we should protect this right here in America. Go figure. Let’s be very clear that no one is denying the right of workers to organize unions. Unions, in fact, won more than half of the federally supervised organizing elections held in the last year. The right to join a union by secret ballot is time-honored. It is a right I exercised when I chose to be a card-carrying member. But the right to decide by private ballot is fundamental in our democracy. Without it, union organizing is just legal conscription. The Senate must stand up for American workers by defeating this bill.
